Moondawg modified a machine (VMC 72 I think) by simply attaching a velcro strip on each side of the column to take up the space. He said it worked quite well.
Quote | I tried to put a picture of the bottles on the site, but I am having problems loading pictures... After a few minutes of loading - it cuts out to an error. Any Help? |
You need to make your picture smaller in size. The picture you are trying to post exceeds the 204800 byte limit.

These new bottles popped up about a year and a half ago. If you do a search from the beginning of all open forums for smaller AND coke AND bottles you can find these threads, but really no solution.

That is correct, add some 1/4" plexiglass to the bottle stack and it will work.

You could just add it to the bottom eight inches or so of the column - couldn't you?

For now, I put a 1/4 inch piece of cardboard along each side of the stack and it works fine - I will have to make sure it doesn't pick up moisture, if so I will go to plexi glass. Thanks for the help...

Quote (kahonwes @ Aug. 27 2006,7:42) | at a 1/4 inch plexiglass to each side of the inside of the machine... | 1/4" each side = 1/2" total width loss. which still may work, but I used 1/8" shims (velcro strips) on each side for a total of 1/4" width difference.

I tried the 1/4 plexiglass before I tore my machine apart and decided to resto the entire thing, it worked on the 20 something bottles I had.

1/4 inch plexi works fine. We did a 44 for a customer and the shims were a great fit!
