The way I see it is this. You are not a collector until you have AT LEAST two of something.
I agree Eric sent magic vibes across the Ocean to me too.

Well I currently own 6 Minis I think... and one Vendo 44.  If you know where to look for Mini's there easy to find, but like Vendo 44's if you dont know where to look its like finding a needle in a haystack for parts.

I've brought about about 8 Minis over from UK and sold a few and currently I'm rebuilding the front end off a shell I'm going to be selling.  All except 2 of my Minis are Right Hand Drive(RHD)....

But yeah one Pepsi Slide then I'm done unless like Minis I find a good deal to toss around lol..

One of my coworkers has a mini that is set up for autocross but he drives it on the street periodically. He gave me a ride awhile back, it felt like my butt was dragging the ground and he took a few corners around 80+ MPH. Holy crap!! I was impressed how the car stuck to the roadway.

Me and my brother built a Choptop and well, it has a 1380cc engine in it and yeah it rides like a go-cart on the highway, I go whipping by Rice Burners and they look at us like were nuts, there just so much fun to drive..

When I was a kid Mini Cooper's (1215cc engines ...I think) were the thing to own.

I must confess that I never took to them.

The car of my youth was a Ford Escort RS 2000 or Mexico. Not sure if they made it across the Atlantic.
A good one of those would set you back a few bob now. Funny really. Cars that were thrown away only 20 yrs ago are now the modern classics.

When people reach 40 they want to go back to thier youth and tend to buy from that era. That's why I think that one day very soon Square tops will be all the rage. The people who remember roundtops are, unfortunately a dying breed (literally).
