I might have an opportunity to purchase a variety of machines (which I have not seen), but being new to this hobby I am having difficulty formulating ball park values. Obviously it is hard to negotiate when you don't have that info. Anyway, I'd appreciate it if some members could tell me what they would pay for the following. I understand it needs to be ballpark as you haven't seen condition:
ideal 35 slider -- generic, no rack, cap catcher, dents but no rust
Slider by Kelvinator -- complete
Westinghouse Standard -- no lids but no rust or dents
Vendo 44 -- just the cabinet
Vendo Junior - complete
Westinghouse 42T -- complete
I'm particualrly interested in the Vendo 44 cabinet. What do you think it would cost me to get all the parts?
Thanks in advance.

I'd offer $1200 - $1400, that's me however. The standard without Lids is a losing cause. The Kelvinator is a boat anchor (Big Yacht). The last 3 sight unseen I'm figuring $400 each. That may seem low but does any off them cool? I look at it this way, buy them like they are parts machines and you can't lose. If the 42T and the junior or ready to plug in and go you come out very well. To buy all those machines and go through the pain and suffering of hauling and storing them......well you gotta darn near steal them.

Thanks Audiobeer. That is the kind of down and dirty insight I wanted. What do you figure the Vendo 44 cabinet is worth? What do you think the value is of the Ideal 35 w/o the cap catcher or rack if it cools?

I sold a Vendo Junior a while back for $800 - it had been sloppily painted and had a repro bottle rack, but was complete. The 42T - I see them go for $400-$500 on eBay all the time. The coin mech on the 42T might work with the 44.

I just bought my Ideal 35 slider, missing Rack, coin Mech and wrong cap catcher at a yard sale for well under 250...but if you buy the slider and part it out.. .I am interested in the coin mech if you do part it out! also if you have the other compressor side cover I'd take that...
Good luck!

Forward Air is your best bet for shipping out of Canada.

I don't know about out of Canada but a friend used FedEx ground.. they came picked up his machine at his house. We just had to strap it to a pallet. But I don't know what the other guy paid... The buyer got it all together for him... I could find out if you still need to find someone.

Audio & Glen are right with price on this group of machines you gotta hit kinda low with all the work that may ahead of you.... Just put in your bid and go from there. You can always say well.. I need to see them to get a better idea of what they may be worth... if he balks at your price. (but I love the Coke Standards.. and they make repro lids) Good Luck!
