She email back to me. This is what she said:

Sounds to me like it is an Ideal 55, since she said it worked in the 80's (even though she did not mention a coin mech). If it was an embossed Quikold, I would be all over it right now.

I'm trying to figure out how I can justify a trip from Oregon to the San Diego area now even when I'm heading almost that far south in October.
No one told me when I bought my first machine a year ago that these suckers were addicting! Oh, the thought of a Hires cooler! Not only would I get a cooler, but a root beer one! <sigh>

Somebody better grab it! I would think a harder model to find...
It would almost have to be embossed wouldn't it?... Did Hires do
anything not embossed? See if they understand what embossing is...
I would think if it was a sticker or paint they would say the letters were coming off...
Would stink if someone drove all the way for a decaled deep freeze.... '>

I am in touch with the woman and am hoping to get a pic of it tonight. I am interested in it, but it all depends on what exactly it is. I was going to try to make a special trip out there if I like it, but if you are available and don't mind picking it up I would appreciate it. I would gladly reimburse you for the gas.
