Cavalier cs-80c restoration begins

Well, I took the plunge.  Eric has my cooling system and I dropped the shell and some parts off at a local body shop.  
A few questions:  
1) The door liner has some chunks missing by almost all of the screws holes.  I was thinking about just using some black plastic washers since the door gasket hides the screw heads.  Anyone else do something different in the past?
2) During an earlier paint job someone painted part of the polished stainless steel bottle door opening white.  Do you think paint remover and a sponge will remove this okay?
3) Does anyone make the bottle door gasket?  I found some gaskets at Funtronics that will work for the main door, but they don't seem to have any bottle door gaskets like this in their catalog.
4) Is anyone making (or does anyone here have an extra) small gold piece that goes below the silver kick plate in the front or a Calavlier logo that goes on the bottom of the front of the machine?

Here's the empty machine.  Since we have carpet on the stairs, I just set the machine on it's side and pushed it up the basement stairs.  Sure was a lot easier than when I took it down originally!  

Maybe if this project goes well, I'll finally restore my first machine that I got as a freshman in high school.  '>

If you can't find a nice original for a replacement liner(yea, right...), I recommend visiting your local sheet metal shop and acquire thin galvinized strips of metal approx. 3/8" - 1/2" wide to hold the liner in place. Use a punch to make holes that line up with the cabinet door holes and just screw this in place as you would while re-attaching the liner and door gasket. The galv. strips will act as a long trim washer and reinforce the plastic door liner as well so future breakage shouldn't occur.

Paint stripper works fine on stainless steel

Perhaps one of the suppliers can give you a little more insight as to what may be a good substitute...

For the door liner, I  used some black plastic strips I found at Menard's in the suspended ceiling section.  I think it was Brian that recommended this in a earlier post.
