I'm in  hotel in northern GA and will continue into N. Carolina tomorrow...

Matt, I'm going to be visiting with Alan too! I don't have a definate date/time but I am flexible between Thurs., Fri. or Sat.; perhaps we can meet there...? When I call Alan, I'll ask when you're planning on visiting... It sounds like I'll be there just after you and we may miss each other... I'm not sure when I'll be checking again...

I'm back!
As time permits in the next few days, I'll post a few photos of things along the way...

I did get to visit briefly with Alan Huffman and see his collection. It appears Matt visited days before me! Sorry we missed each other Matt!
I must say, the Vendo Decapper Alan has is very impressive in person!
Awesome collection to see!

Thanks for your time Alan!

Glad to see that you had a good trip.
I'll post this here instead of starting a new thread.  I was gone during part of that time too.  I went camping along the Eastern shore of Lake Superior in Ontario.  I did meet mommy bear and baby bear on one of the trails (I also got the heck out of there)!  I snapped the picture below at Young's General Store in Wawa, ON.  They had an identical machine inside, but someone hand painted around the embossing.  These are just props to give the store that old time feel (the outhouses have flush toilets in them).

Hello,

Just a few photos as I promised...

Alan Huffman and myself while visiting.
Second photo: I thought was odd; someone at the gas station advertising for bottles...

Glen,
I did not take a photo of the inside as Alan had begun to disassemble things... I should have taken a photo because most of the major components where present. What a mechanical marvel of a machine ! ! !

On another note, Alan has an early version of the Icy-O 120 which I'll be uploading a photo into the Soda Machines Section in a few days along with several other models I didn't have...

Nice pics Jim.  The Vendo looks pretty clean for sitting outside.
