Is this a Vendo 63? It has 7 can slots and looks like my 63, but look at the coin slot area... mine is seperate from the coin door, and my sign is smaller. I've looked back through different pics, but haven't seen one setup this way...

Hi Ken,
It could be a VMC 56. I had one with a similar coin slot.

Re-paint it in a Mott's apple juice theme.  I just couldn't be happier with mine.  It may actually look more hideous then the fake wood grain.

Wow.. I didn't even notice the quick replies... There was another pic further away of the whole machine, and it looks like the Vendo logo under the door.

Its on ebay now for $50.. I'm keeping my eye on this one... not too far from me..

Ebay

Brian.. stop showing that Motts machine please... '<img'>

Ken/Bubba
I can't seem to get that black and yellow paint scheme off my mind.  However, besides that brown panaled Vendo 56, I think it may be one of the worst looking soda machines out there.  However, for those of you that have not seen it yet, here it is one more time.

Also, I am not in love with the fake wood grain either.

Does anyone have a bottle stack like the one in Bubba's picture?
Would it replace the bottle only stack on a vmc 56?

Rogerz,
That is a can stack which has a pull rod that pulls the can forward. I have seen them on eBay for as little as $100. I would think it would work in any seven selection machine; however, not owning anyting but RT machines myself, others on the site might be better informed.

I have tried to swap bottle mechs with can mechs and have configured them to "free vend".  For the can stacks, you need to wrap a wire on the bottem pulling back the actuator so the pull handle realeses without coins.  I have only switched the two when I wanted to free vend.  Maybe others have had success with vending as well as swapping.

Rogerz,
I have a Vendo manual for the 56 63 90 126 models. I believe all of these models could have been ordered with the can stack. I do not know about the Cav 64's etc. or other machines/makes.

I've swapped the can rack for a bottle rack in my v-63. Its an exact swap as long as you have the shelves. It took a few minutes to do the swap. I would imagine they are the same? Just 2 wires on the vend solenoid to reconnect.
I'm not sure about all Cavaliers, but mine can handle both cans and bottles through the same stack. The rack does come out easily, but there is no quick disconnect for the wiring harness so you'll need to connect some wiring if you do the swap.

Ken - how can your can rack vend both?  I have a Vendo90 can machine.  I think it'll only handle cans as the kicker (what ever you call the plate at the back that pushes can's forward) is not deep enough to accomodate a bottle.
