The V-83 machine I have, will not allow dimes to pass through.  Apon inspection there is a magnet in the changer.  My question is this.  Were dimes once not attracted to magnets.

Nope, early dimes were made silver, only Canadian Nickles,(real nickle-metal is magnetic) and 1943 Lincoln-pennies (steel) and of course slugs. '<img'>   , does your coin mech accept CANADIAN dimes?   ':p'
