I bought an old soda machine and was wondering if anyone has any info on it, or where I can find info like year, who made it, value. Its a 7 up machine that holds bottles. Has a name tag on it, S-V CO's     Model  2A. It's in very good condition. Sorry, I don't have any pictures of it.
THANKS,  WETDIRT

I went back to the main page and selected the soda machines button.  Took a chance that sv stood for selectivend.  Found a model 1a listed.  Might this be a place for you to start?

I'm guessing it's a Selectivend.  Sorry, can't tell you much more about it.  On the main page you can select Soda Machines and it has information on a lot of them up until the mid 70's.  Does it look a little bit like this:

This is a Selectivend 1-A.  Here's the page on it, but you will not find much info: Selectivend 1-A
Try to get some pictures of it and send them to Jim so that he can get them on the site.

Oh yea, welcome to the site!

Looks like it took me about 4 minutes to make my post!  ':p'

I saw that too, but then another company had a 3A machine, so I didn't know how accurate that would be.:O

Didn't Selectivend chop up other manufacturer's machines and put their name on them? '<img'>

They only did that on round tops. When they went to square tops they contracted vendo to build their machines for them. Wetdirt describe you machine some more. What brand is it? How tall? How many selection? and anything else you can get from it.

That is a great deal. I was asking about arkansas because I know a guy selling a 7up SV and was wondering if you bought it. The selectivends are great machines but really hard to find parts for. Just make sure it is complete.

I'll post pictures when I get the machine home. The guy I bought it from can't find the key, but there is a local guy that used to be a 7 up distributer that said he has a box of old keys. He says one wiil probably fit it.
Thanks,

Andrew,

Nice little machine! $75 is a deal if it's not a rust-bucket.
When you can post photos of yours, please do!
Additionally, if you didn't mind, would you allow me to use your photo(s) in the Soda Machines Section...?

My six cents,

Jim
