Well I just got the Jacobs 56 home. It arrived 5 days earlier than they quoted. The machine is in pretty good shape. There is some rust on the outside door but that is all. It is flawless inside. The cord it cut so tomorrow I am going to try and replace it. It looks as though it should work. The door liner is perfict. Now I have to decide whether I should sell it like it is or should I restire it first. This is such a cool machine. I really wish I could keep it.

Hey Josh,
Glad the 56 arrived safely! These are really nice machines; I had one several years ago but sold it because I made over $1000 and didn't do a thing to it! Maybe you could do as good...

Nice score Josh! '> , the insides look really clean, & it looks like it would restore nicely, I'd be inclined to keep it. :'>

Spoon-feeding Newbies since 2001... Yeah..220,221 whatever it takes. Remember, all it needs is a shot of Freon! The Vendo V-83 is the '59 Edsel of the coke machine world. ;p Spray painting does NOT restore a compressor 11 is louder than 10... "Hope" is good, but it's not an action plan.

I wish I could leep it but I need the $$$. That is why I bought it anyway. The money from this is going to help me start a vending route. I think I already have a buyer. A good friend of mine from home wants it so I might be driving it to Cincinnati soon.

Nice find Josh ! I have only seen one of these in person,( a nice original for $4500.) but I must agree with Jim. Restoring it will take time and capital, and is harder to sell because it becomes such a high dollar item (mostly all your dollars) Clean it up and flip it on E-bay! Let the buyer pay for restoration. But....... A product I use called "Rustmort" disolves a lot of surface rust. Then use your high-speed buffer to polish this machine out and it will also clean off most remaining surface rust to make your pictures look sharp. We also know you will clean up the compressor and liner, to make the condition look even better to bidders / restorers so that the bidding goes higher. No more money involved for you, only your time and elbow grease.......You deserve a good profit on this one Josh. Good luck...... VERY rare machine. '>
