Johnie - how do you do this?  As you know I'm sitting on a 1940's GE wet (maybe and/or dry) cooler that has a similar setup.

Pat Pixley has(had) a Vernor's Ideal 55 that this was done to IIRC.  I can't remember seeing the pictures though(hint Hint).  It shouldn't be to hard.  I was going to do it to an Ideal slider I had but I got bored and sold it before I aquired all the parts.  I just hate the cooling systems in the smaller Ideals, anything that has to be cracked open to get out is no fun to me.

Thanks for the help.  I did get the plug put in and so far it all works so now I need to work on the interior.  There on the burst door is a relay switch with another plug next to it but whatever was supposes to be there isn’t and I believe that is where the coin mechanism should be plugged in.  I don’t know since I don’t have a schematic to compare to what I’m looking at.  Does anyone know what switch I need to convert the machine over to allow us to just push the button and it dispenses without the use of money until I can get the coin mechanism fixed?  '>

Besides that I wanted to also say that people so far who claim to have manuals for the model turn out not to.  So if anyone comes across the manual for the 300/175-5 dixie-narco please let me know.

Does it have 8 slots in it (like the picture below)?  If so, then it is for the coin mech.  Specifications for the switch are on the picture.
