With the talk of old bottles, I just thought that I would throw this one out at the group.  How long/when did Coke make embossed/ACL bottles.  I came across this in some bottles that I found recently.  The Coke and Coca-Cola are ACL (painted), but the patent and 6 1/2 ounce are embossed.  This is the first bottle like this that I have come across and there is no city on the bottom.

Any ideas/thoughts?

(This is the best pic I could get)

Coke first introduced ACL bottles in 1957. Around 1962, Coke rolled out the all ACL bottle (trademark, 6 oz. etc were all painted) since 1960 was the first time "Coke" appeared on the bottles, and you mention "coke is also in ACL, I am guessing  (and no way am I an expert) that particualr bottle is from around 1960-1961
As for how long coke made ACL bottles, I remember them well into the late 1980's, when I switched to RC cola folloowing the New Coke fiasco.
and yes, I came back...

I didn't notice it but it says Coca-Cola on both sides - it doesn't say Coke.  Interesting.
