Awesome!, you cant beat the price. Looks like it may be a Rowe or a National. Not 100% sure though. That's the thing with  most of that era's machine. They all look alike! Looks like it's in pretty good shape too. Is it close to home?

Oh yeah, it's addictive! Don't you remember siging that liability/acknowledgement waiver when you got your account here? Funny, I don't either!  '<img'>

Yep, it's an hours drive away. Getting it tomorrow. There's some rust on the knobs and in the drawer, but I've got some good chrome paint.
No keys, though. Any thoughts on how I should unlock this thing? I really don't need 40-year old candy.

I'd just drill the lock it out and replace it... I'm sure it's something that can be replaced.
check with Roger at Crowriver.com he may have a lock that will fit.
And the knobs (I think are solid turned metal) and will probably just need a good buffing!

Yeah wanna see that beauty when you get it!

ok, well here's what I just got on Ebay for a little less than that ($75):

Could someone tell me what it is...

and why didn't anyone warn me that buying machines is addictive?

Looks like a  National 9-column to me.

Yeah..220,221 whatever it takes.
Remember, all it needs is a shot of Freon!
The Vendo V-83 is the '59 Edsel of the coke machine world. ;p
Spray painting does NOT restore a compressor
11 is louder than 10...
"Hope" is good, but it's not an action plan.

Yep, it's a National. I love it, I can change the price to $0.75 without changing the coin mechanism- It doesn't return change. As long as no one pulls the lever after putting in a quarter, I'm golden.
Somebody said "machines of this era." What is the era?  I remember them (mostly as cigarette machines) from the 60's but they look like they pre-date that.

I bet there's a date somewhere on it... It looks late 50s or early 60s.
Lets get them images on here! '<img'>

Congrats! On the score!
