Door handle replacement and other parts?

Hi all,

I recently bought a Cavalier 64 Coke machine and I need to install a correct handle on the door that accesses the Cokes.

My first questions is:
how do you remove the double-layer plexiglass from the metal door?

I think that if I can get that glass out, I can remove and replace the incorrect handle the machine currently has.

My second question:
There appears to be metal "channels" around the perimeter of the front of the machine that I assume held some sort of chrome strips. Does anyone know where the replacement strips can be bought?

Any help is GREATLY appreciated by this newbie!
