I found two machines for sale and was wondering how much to offer. The one is a Uss 96. The coin door and main door are rough it looks like someone tried to break into it. All of the shelves are there and the vending rack looks to be in good shape. The other machine I am unsure on and could only see the upper half. He claims that it worked and bought the 96 for the coin mech to make this one complete, but then lost the key and just does't want to mess with it anymore. Here is a couple of pictures of the other machine. He also has a dollar bill dispenser that is included.
I guess the final question is if these do not work and I decide to part them out what can you sell off of them and how much are the parts worth? '>

Hmmmm, if he wants to get rid of them for $200, then I'd offer $100 & let him go up to $150 for both plus the DBA, & make him unearth them from that disaster of a garage! '> if the DBA is in working shape you could get at least $25-50 out of it on Ebay, along with the shelves & compressor deck out of the USS-96 the shelves can go for $10-15 ea. & the compressor deck is worth at least $100-150 in working order as it fits a lot of simular Cavalier machines.
The Pepsi machine almost looks like a Vendo Can vendor, or maybe an early DixeNarco? it looks pretty straight, even if it is missing some trim around the door edge...make sure it does fire up & cools at least!
If you don't like these, I've got a nice bubble front late model Vendo 475/480 machine with a DBA to sell you! (yes, I'm serious) it'll be going on Ebay soon, but I'm thinking of posting it here first...let us know what the Pepsi is when you get it home... :'>

Spoon-feeding Newbies since 2001... Yeah..220,221 whatever it takes. Remember, all it needs is a shot of Freon! The Vendo V-83 is the '59 Edsel of the coke machine world. ;p Spray painting does NOT restore a compressor 11 is louder than 10... "Hope" is good, but it's not an action plan.

I'd agree with Johnny - even if you ended up at $175 for a working USS-96 that's not a bad deal. At $150 bucks that would be a great deal.

Jed-
You'd be surprised! I got a machine from a guy that said the machine was "broken" and didn't cool and wouldn't vend the bottles through the "glass door thingy". Got it for almost nothing and got it home plugged her in and within 25 minutes, it cooled down to 32 degrees!! Also it turned out that the problem with the glass bottles vending was actually pretty obvious, it was a CAN vendor!!
So, you never know! '>

Hey Jed - great deal. Is the USS96 missing lots of stuff or just too beat up to bother fixing? Was wondering why you're parting it out.

On the 96 the coin door and the main door have more damage than I am willing to try and fix. Here is the picture of the 96.

Here is the Vendo. It is missing some trin and has a few holes drilled in the sides. It is also locked and no key. Is it easy to get a replacement key or should I just drill it out?

And last but not least the dollar changer. It needs a good cleaning and a new lock, but seems to work.
