i bought this machine today, i will pick it up on Friday, i did do some research on this and i believe in Jerff Walters book Page 252 it had the clue to what it is.  Terry pointed it out on my v-110 he is restoring it's the uniqueness of the coin door, so i pounced and applied for a pass from my wife to go get it on Friday.

question: how much does everyone or anyone think it is worth?

Nice. That is a Vendorlator 56. It is a transition machine from when they were going from round tops to square tops. Great find. I really want one like that. Some are also embossed 7up. Is your embossed or generic?

In my book that is a round top. Your machine is rather scarce but it isn't really rare. They made them both in the electric and crank handle version. I have a friend that has two of the crank handle and I have seen 5 or 6 embossed 7up's sell on ebay. Still a great score.

I guess generic would imply that you could make it double dot or not depending on the decals you put on machine??

petey,
Cool looking machine, I guy called me with one recently unstored and described what appears to be a 81 square top non embosed. He was firm on 1000 bucks. ':drinkers:'

I believe that decal is a double dot but my eyes much like my daughters seems to only notice primary colors LOL and if that person would have had a puppy or a firetruck in the picture i'd have probably paid twice the amount. lol

I had the embossed 7up version... nice little machines...
I traded a 7up 55 slider unrestored for mine...then put it on
eBay and got $1300.00 for it.... regret it now, mine was nice, straight and clean...
When I cleaned out the
coin mech there where 2 Mercury head dimes in it.
