Well Group

My garage conversion is coming along nicely and by the end of the month I should have a room to put all my bits and pieces. A game(s)room. The door to my room is half glazed and I wanted to frost the glass and etch something into it. I have found a company in th UK that supplies this and they allow you to have words etched into the film.

Does anyone have any suggestions 1950's wise for what these words should be to describe my Soda machine and jukes behind the door. It has to be a short phrase something like the imortal words of Chuck Berry "Hail Hail Rock "n" Roll."

All suggestions warmly welcomed.

I think "Dave's Addiction" would be appropriate... '<img'>

Dave here's a few, forgive me if they really dont apply, I havent had my morning coffee yet.

"Leather Jacket Generation"

"Fabulous 50's"

My step dad used to always say if I could "Rewind the Fifties"
(...I'd whatever he was ranting on about at that moment) funny how things stick with you.

"Shake, Rattle, and Roll"

"It's All in the Game"

I know this is corny but how about
"The Cocacabana"  done in typical 50s flowing script, a spin from the famous NY City nightclub Copacabana where all the big 50s crooners sang.

Thanks Eric

You are right about the CopaCabana. The wife put her foot down at that suggestion.
Still looking but so far "Rewind to the 50's" has it .

Dave,
How about "Rewind to the 50's" and "Let Good Times Roll". If they charge by the letter that could get pricey though.

It was a garage? How about “Dave's Drive-In”
(a knock-off from the Movie American Graffiti “Mel's Drive-In” it was the dinner that
had the girls on roller skates.)
Use a real cool Font Like Neon, Raceway or even the classic Brushscript at an angle.

With the frosted glass you could always use "Ice Ice Baby", oh wait you wanted the 50's. ':p'   I like the "Rewind to the 50's".

I LOVE "Dave's Drive-In".
Fits the favorite location of the 50's and Dave used to "drive in" to his garage.

Oh, and "Den of antiquity" is very clever too. Those are the two that I like.

There's a 50's style "greasy-spoon" diner in my town that has a clever idea for saving money on window decorations.  A few Christmasses ago they painted "happy holidays" on thier front window.  Not too remarkable in itself, but when the holidays had passed, they merely scraped off the "holi" leaving them with an oddly spaced "Happy     days" like the sitcom.
Sorry if that's a bit off subject here but it seemed a funny story to relate at the time I started typing.

Morning Eric...
It's photshop and or Freehand (both are Windows version for PCs)
I draw all our signs that we sell in these programs.
Once I get a feel for what layout I like then I rework it over and over.
the first two logos for Dave I did in Freehand (version Cool using fonts and
a clip art of a car.... The layout still could use a little work but I like the Idea
same with the Juke box logo. The girl logo I found on line I just whiped Mel's out and put Dave's.

Gotta cool Embossed “Please Pay Cashier” Coke sign coming out soon.
They are being boxed today.
I'll post a image soon as I get a final. I drew it all on Freehand.
Love this stuff!
