Hi I came across a coke machine today, called a cornelius. It has got to be the smallest stand up coke machine I've seen, you open it up and it has two sections to put bottles in. It might stand at around 4ft tall. Does anyone know what this is worth? I tried to look a picture up but it said that Cornelius only made one type of stand up and it was big. Could this be rare? Has decals on the sides, and a plastic or glass piece at the top, 1960s colors.

Sorry it was kind of a hit and run deal, he didn't want his sister knowing he was selling it, It's taken over a year now just to go look at it. He has three machines all together, one from the 80s another one from the 60s with a bottle rack on the side. It was kind of a last notice thing, he saw us in town and told us to follow him. Great condition, I made an offer but he said someone offered $450 before. Wasn't sure if it was worth that or not. I am trying to find something similiar to it.

if you look at item # 7169253071. It's that size, but square top, same color scheme, but instead of embossed at the top it's a light up. .10 machine that vends bottles.

I have no idea what it would be worth.  Seems to be a few new/different Cornelius machines surface this past year that have not been in the Machine section.
Is it in nice shape?
Does it work?
Is it worth $450 to you?
If yes to the above then get it (try lower though at first).

Robert. Your refrence # leads to a Vendo 44. You say your machine is this proportion but square corners, the face lights up and it vends from columns.
Could there be some confusion as to the name. Cornelius may be confused with the Cavalier 55 that perfectly matches your description.

The Cavalier C2-55 is a cute little machine.

How in the heck do you make your selection?

Dr G,

Here's a pic of my 2 selection 55.  You put the coin(s) in and press one of the selection buttons (under the flavor labels):

Thanks.  It was hard to tell that there were buttons under the flavor strips.
Now that's  the size of a machine I need for my office!  '<img'>

The one you posted was a C1-55. It vends by just putting in the correct amount of money. The C2's are pretty rare. The C2 is my dream machine.

I would honestly trade my Jacobs 26 for a C2-55 Hint Hint to anyone that might be interested.

I swear it said corenilius but now that you mention it I could be wrong, looks like the one pictured. I am going back monday and will check again for exact model numbers and to see if it works. Will take pictures.

I'm starting to think it's a cavalier C2-55 because it said things go better with coke on the side, and didn't say anything on the light up piece except Drink Coca Cola. Still to make sure will be checking either Sunday or Monday.

Josh, I think Dr Galaga's pic was a C2, as was my machine.  Which one are you saying is a C1? '<img'>

Mine is actually a CS-55E.

There were 225 two selection versions made in 1962, and 600 in 1963.  From what I understand that's all they made, so they are fairly hard to come by.  I paid $750.00 for mine, plus I had to have it shipped - but it was the machine I had been waiting for, so it was worth it to me ':<img:'>   Nice original with honest wear - just how I like 'em.  '<img'>

Give me a garage full of 55's and Westinghouse Select-O-Matic Multidrinks and I'll be a happy guy  '<img'>

My picture should be a C2-55, since I took it from the C2-55 page here!

Hi got the machines home. Will post pics later. The smaller one was a Cavalier CS-55E. Is this what everyone was talking about? Coin Mech is fubar, hopefully it works. Other than that it's in great condition.

Unloading the 55, the other machine is a westinghouse WB-78-6b-20, 60s sign at top. Going to get another one of those tomorrow. Has bottle rack on side. Works and lights up, coin mech needs cleaning.

Nice finds.  Now you just need to put a drinking fountain on the other side of the Westinghouse! ':p'
