I got a call from a guy that had a couple of machines in his backyard.  Funny how you get as many calls AFTER you stop running the ad.

Anyway, he had a Vendo 83 and a older green small Selectivend.  I think the Selectivend was a Dr. Pepper originally.  Both machines were locked but I could see the honeycomb rack inside the bottle door of the 83.

Both were quite rusty at the bottoms and had plenty of surface rust.  Both would be total resto projects.  No clue if they work.

I'm not looking for any more machines at the moment, but I could put anybody here in touch with the guy.  He is very motivated to get them the heck out of there.  I think I could have hauled them out of there for next to nothing.

The Selectivend looked pretty cool.  It had a sort of textured coin door.

Here's some pics.

If you can get it cheep you should buy the selectivend. It has a Vendo 81 D coin mech in it. That alone is worth over $200.

The coin mech on the Selectivend fits Vendo 39 and small door 81, and it's got a Vendo crank handle.   Geez Bob.....parts !!!!!!
I think this same model showed up on ebay this last week?

Nice find Bob!...
If he doesn't want much you should try and get them.
throw a tarp over them then slowly part them out. Parts are always need if the cabinets are too far gone
probably could double/triple your money for more candy machines! Ha

Hope someone here can get them....

Glen I am sure you are right. I have never owned one I just thought I remembered it being a large coin mech, but after I looked at the pics where the coin return is located it would have to be a small coin mech.

darn, a bit too far away from me.  If anyone decides to part these out I may be interested.  Of particular interest to me is the main door lock cylender if it's still in place (they usually aren't).  It's a lock cylender that fits in the allen wrench hole behind the coin door like a plug.  They seem to be impossible to find.  If it is still in place I'll pay to have a locksmith come and open it to save the lock.  Thanks for the heads up!

All the selectivends had the small coin mech and you will have to do some drilling and welding to the shaft to get them to fit a V39 or small door 81 & 110.  Been there and done that.  Harrison Collins

I just saw a Selectivend about an hour ago outside a shop, but it was only open on Sat. and Sunday.  I wish I would have had the camera. I will try to get a photo. I think it was $150.
