Will it fit in most older vending machines?

I'll have to look for it. So funny that it's "9.6 ounces" rather than 10 oz.

I don't know this, but I would imagine the reason that it is 9.6 oz. is that 9.6 US oz is 9.99 (read 10) UK oz And for a while Jamaica was a British colony, and they probably just put a us measurement on it, while measuring it out in UK oz. That is a complete guess, and yes, I did look some of that up.

I remember this drink from my Army days. I used to be sent to various Caribbean Islands to do my Annual Tours for 2 weeks. Some of my duties were to coordinate dedication ceremonies for various humanitarian projects completed by US forces such as building a school, church, youth center, etc. I was tasked with visiting the local bottle plants soliciting donations for the dedication ceremony. I used to drink so much of the "ting" that I recall getting sick.

When I first saw this post I was thinking the American Ting. Never tried it, but I have an empty bottle in my collection. I also see that there is a bottler in Wisconsin that bottles it. I'm going to hit a few small bottlers in the NW part of Wisconsin next week, but I'm probably going to pass on the Ting one. I guess they are hit-and-miss since they only have two employees!

I'm going to stop at the following as I head across Wisconsin: *Twig's Beverage - Shawano, Wisconsin *Seymour Beverages - Seymour, Wisconsin *Point Brewery - Stevens Point, Wisconsin (Ting is made at New London Kist Bottling -New London, Wisconsin) These are all just a little West of Green Bay.

Is there any difference between the Jamaican Ting and the product they bottle in Wisconsin?

I bet they are totally different. Here's some more pics:

I can't wait to pick up some Sun-Drop. I've heard a lot of good comments about it. It's strange that Sun-Drop is owned by Crush/7-Up/RC, but I can't find any here outside of Chicago.

Fill a tall glass with ice, add 1 1/2 shots of rum and a a shot of orange/pineapple juice, a splash of lime juice and fill the glass with the Jamaican Grapefruit Ting.
Rinse and repeat as often as necessary.

Dr. Galaga. Load up on the Sun Drop. Good stuff it even has little pieces of orange floating around in it. One of those bottlers, I can't recall which one at this time, Does Double Cola in the 16oz refillavle bottles with cane sugar. It is the best and looks so good in the machine. Pick up some 76 if you see it to. A great Lemon-lime drink for yesteryear. Have fun Brian
