Yeah, they look to be 6.5 oz. bottles and I am only interested in the 10 oz. embossed bottles, but thanks so much for keeping me in mind.

Naw the 10 oz. embossed Kito wants are a tough find. Those are new "collector" editions.

Kito,
FYI, Sacrameto swap meet and Salina antique stores came up empty. Still searching....

Anyone in to the 6 and 6.5 oz?  If so, check this out: http://cgi.ebay.com/ws....93&rd=1

I wonder what the reserve is.  The BIN is over $3.50 each!

Kito I have seen 6 or so 10 ounce embossed coke bottles in the last couple of weeks at various antique stores what are you willing to pay for them? I think they have been around $6 each. Let me know and next time I head out I will pick them up for you since you live close it wouldn't be to hard to get them to you.

I am willing to pay up to $5 each for them, but would really like to pay less, as those $5 add up quickly when buying a bunch of them (i.e. a case of them would be $120. Yikes!)

Thanks VendRX

Thanks Petey, but as Creighton said, I want the old just plain embossed 10 oz., no commemoratives.

Thanks though.

Kito,
You locked on that price limit? I found when gathering a case of MD Hillbilly bottles it took $7-$10 for a nice little case wear example. Much more common bottle, than a 10oz Coke Emb.
Will keep looking for ya!

True, but I've gotten them for about $5 before. I now have 11 of them. Wish I had a ton more.

Hi Chaps

I'm still in need of 6.5oz bottles for my vendo 39. Only problem is postage. (In UK) So I'd need to buy in bulk (not 1000's though) and get them shipped by camel via Outer Mongolia to make it worthwhile.

Here's another auction for Vintage Wooden Coca-Cola Carrier 24 Empty Coke Bottles.  They are embossed but I think they might be small bottles, but can't tell for sure.

I had my eye on that last night, since I can just pick it up.
Just remember that there is a $6.25 handling charge on top of the shipping quote.

Hi

got the shipping quote back from the seller of the crate and the bottles $68.00 by sea. Six weeks at least. God knows what by air. I didn't think that was too bad. What do you think???

If the Dr has his eye on it I am happy to step aside.

Also if any are Barq's.

Kito

did you get any reply from the seller of all those bottles. I'd certainly be interested in a crate of 6.5 oz bottles if you did decide to go for it.

Dave,

Do you want only the original 6.5 ounce embossed bottles or can you just use the new 8 ounce embossed bottles?

Halehouse - Not sure whether the 8oz bottles would fit. I have a vendo 39.

Terry - Would ultimately like to have 39 bottles so I can fill the machine up. The problem I have come across is the shipping charges. When I've approached sellers on ebay I have had quotes ranging from $50.00 ish through to over $300.00 I think that I will need to buy in bulk to keep the price of postage down.

The other option is to bring them back with me after my vacation in SC later in the year. However, with two small kids and a shed load of luggage anyway inlcuding strollers etc I'm not sure if I could manage an extra suitcase with half a ton of glass in it.

I think the 8 ounce are the same size. The glass is just thinner than the older ones which amounts to the extra capacity. Maybe someone else can comfirm that and if they work well in a 39. They even have the cities embossed on the bottom like the old ones (although in smaller size). I just been using mine and putting them into the recycling bin.

I went to 4 antique stores today looking for bottles for Kito and I didn't find a single bottle worth a darn. Actually the only bottles I found were 3 newer 8 oz xmas bottles. I did find a guy with some nice Pam clocks but he wants $275 each.

Kito, I have nothing better to do. It isn't like I have have a job right now so I really am just keeping myself from going crazy. While looking for antique stores I did find another USS-64 sitting outside an old mechanic shop. I am going to go next week and try to buy it.

Kito,
Go in search of goodies at these places anyway. Linda now knows to look out for "Kito" bottles when I'm not there. Tough buggers to find though. Just all part of helping each other out.

Josh, another 64, you are the pied piper on those puppies :-) Hope its a good one!!

Kito,
I hit the mother lode.  I picked up two cases of embossed 10oz bottles in Quannah, Texas a few days ago for you.  Only $3 a bottle.  I've been trying to PM you but I guess the messages aren't going through.  Drop me a note and I'll find a way to get these things to you.  Thanks!

A.J., you are the BEST!
I totally appreciate it and will pay you as soon as we figure out the shipping.
I just got your message and sent you my address etc.
I'l buy even more of them the next time you are there if possible.

Also, did you see any 10 oz. Barq's Root Beer bottles?

Thanks SO much!
