Made a call to Steve at Soda Jerk Works yesterday to order some parts. I ended up getting into a 30 minute conversation about all sorts of things! '>  

I was getting ready to mention to him that I was interested in some breaker strips and bottle door liners for my Westinghouse 44SK. Previously, these were unavailable. There must of been some ESP stuff goin' on because Steve asked me a very curious question...."Brian, how would you feel If I told you I was about 6 months away from offering Breaker Strips, Bottle Door Liners and, Coin Door Liners for your WC-44SK?"

I almost lost my lunch!!  '>  I told him that he must have read my mind cuz' I was just getting ready to ask that very line of questions!!!! So.....in approx. 6 months Soda Jerk Works will be offering the afore mentioned items for the "Poor Man's 44" the Westinghouse WC-44SK.

That's good to know.  Maybe there's hope for my 44SK yet.  Maybe their popularity is starting to grow finally.  Ironically, my 44SK is the only machine my wife really likes... go figure!

By the way Brian, thanks again for the photos of your 44SK.  Can you send any of the bottle rack/compressor compartment?

I'd like to know about breaker strips in general.  Just so happens that I've spent about 30 minutes so far today making calls to plastic wholesalers trying to see if they have the right material...  It's like Abbott & Costello's "Who's on first" routine.  They have no idea what I'm asking for and I have no idea what they're offering. '>

Try asking for black Thermal Break. My plastic's supplier didn't have it, but they did order a sheet for me. Had to have a 4 X 8 sheet sheared into two 4 X 4 sheets for UPS.

What are breaker strips?

Breaker strips are the balck thin pieces of plastic that seperate the metal inner liner from the cabnet.

Glad those pics helped! I'll snap some photos of the vending mech as well when I get home from work. I'll also take some pics of my compressor deck.

I got the thermometer cleaned up and mounted/hooked-up last night and also charged the system with 6 oz. of the 'spensive stuff (R-12). It's great to feel the cool air come rushing out!!! '>

FYI according to Steve & Sharon at sodajerkworks the material they use for their roundtop breaker strips is ABS.  They expect to be offering breaker strips, complete with lettering, for many squaretops (not just WC's) in the near future.
