I have a Selectivend S48 Dr Pepper machine with a Blissfield compressor.  It does not attempt to cool but the compressor does turn on along with the evaporator fan and condenser fan.  I have made a drawing of what the compressor deck plate tag looks like but there are a couple of areas that I can't read.  Does somebody know how much R12 it takes?  I have been told by a restorer that he has used a product called Freeze 12 (I know that it is intended for automobiles), the only thing is to charge the compressor with 10% less than what it calls for of R12.  I picked up two cans of Freeze 12 w\UV dye.  This way I can tell if there are any leaks in the system.  Are the HS and LS numbers good to go off of to get it fully charged?

Freeze 12 is a replacement refrigerant for r-12. the pressures listed on the plate are test pressures at the factory for leaks. I would expect on an r-12 box "WARM" low sid around 20-30psi high side around 130-190 depending on outdoor or "ambiant" conditions """COMPRESSOR MUST BE RUNNING TO GET THESE PRESSURES""" ALSO CONDENSOR FAN good luck '<img'>
