Well I just won a Jacobs 26 on ebay. I know nothing about these machines. I have heard that they are made of aluminum. is that true? If so mine has a HUGE dent on the side. Will it be hard to straighten? I can't wait to go get it.

It's the VMC 27 that is aluminum. Jacobs is steel but your dents are very easy to get to.   Good buy, local as well.

Nice machine Glen!!! I can't wait for mine to look like that. I think this one is going to have to wait for a while. anyway I think this machine might be a keeper so I am not in a hurry. I am going to go get it in the morning so I will post pics when I get it home.

Josh, that's awesome! Is that the machine out of Poland, IN? I was looking at that one too. Only about a 40 min drive for me. Good to know that it went to a good home! I was a little apprehesive to bid on that one.

You should be happy that it has the drum and the coin door/mech! Those are usually missing and darn hard to find after the fact! Good grab! '<img'>

The machine in the picture is a Jacobs 35. Notice the handle derived from VMC 27 / 33.
I have a complete Jacobs 26 for sale if anyone else is interested.

Yes it is the machine from poland In. I just got it home but I don't have it out of the truck yet. It is alot better than it looked on ebay. I will post pics later tonight. It is complete and really solid. I think it will run it is just that the wiring is a nightmare. And the fan motor is actually in pieces inside the machine. It looks like it exploded.

I didn't pay much attention to it to be honest. I will let you know what it is when I go back. I have decided to start saving the money and get this one done soon.

Yeah great score... there was one in Illinois about 2 years ago for $700
I past.... I wish I wouldn't have now... Even though these are not embossed
and only take the smaller bottles there's just something about the style!
They are a great looking machine.
I think if I had my choice... I'd pick this model over a 44....
Bring on the after images Josh!

Well I will be honest I have almost completely swayed to the round side. I still love my square tops but I think the round tops are going to be keepers although I might have someone wanting the Jacobs. I think I am going to continue to build square tops and sell them to raise money to buy machines to keep. I have been buying and selling only because I can't afford to keep them but now I think I have found a way to keep machines. besides how many other hobbies are out there that you can kepp something and double your money in time.

Ok Eric, only this group would understand that comment.

I'm afraid that Josh may have done his last square corner restoration   '<img'>
We're all the same. Start out with that $50.00 square machine we got from the neighbors, then keep wheelin' and dealin' and before we know it, we find ourselves spending $1000.00 for a round corner soda machine. A cure for this behavior has yet to be found.

Nuthin' wrong with round stuff! '<img'> '<img'>

It may be tough to balance damaging junk on top of Jacobs machines, but I'm willing to bet that our members can do it. '<img'>

Well I think I just bought two Coke 110's and a westinghouse BV56. One of the 110's is a 6 case cooler and the other is a small door 110. I think I have gone mad. I just can't quit spending money.

Josh, anytime you think you might need some "therapy" and have thoughts of giving up, you know where I live! I might be able to help you divest your "collection" '<img'>  I have yet to be swayed to the "Round side"....

I guess maybe part of it is cost and the other part is space/time (not like the continuum). Don't get me wrong, I'd LOVE to have a round top of some sort. They are wonderful looking machines. Sigh......Maybe someday! Or maube I should focus on what I'm working on right now!!! '<img'>

I think he is a doctor!  '<img'>
Man sounds like you've hit a roundtop vein in the mountain of soda machines with all the roundtops you've been finding!

Keep digging! There's gotta be a 7up or Pepsi 81 in there somewhere!

You will! They're out there.... I just wish I could find them like the eBay sellers
seem to find them. I've seen to sellers have Pepsi 81 that they found in the back of a Storage unit (no reserve knew nothing about it) and One on some property they
had just bought in a barn (again knew nothing about it) I remember both time they just titled them Old Pepsi Machine.......
How cool would that be buying a house to find a machine in the shed.
