Hello everyone. I haven’t posted in a while but I wanted to share a recent experience. I purchased a Vendo 44 a few years ago and I could never get the bottle stack adjustment properly.  It would vend a few bottle okay and then suddenly drop two or three at the same time. It drove me nuts but I chalked it to being the result of the smaller bottles.

Fast forward to today, I recently purchased the can conversion rockers and wanted to give it another try.  After a couple of hours of messing with it, I finally figured it out. The problem I had was no matter how many times I made an adjustment to the spring, the spindle in the back of the bottle stack would never line up with the spring loaded paw.  After I exhausted every type of spring adjustment possible, I realized there were two different sets of holes on the spindle that connect it to the shaft in the back of the bottle stack.  It doesn’t look like using the other hole would make a difference but it did. I removed the cotter pin and rotated the spindle by 90 degrees and my problems were solved.  The teeth on the spindle lined up with the paw every time.  My machine is original but the previous owner powder coated the bottle stack.  He must have mistakenly put the cotter pin back in the wrong hole.  I hope this information helps someone else who is going nuts trying to adjust their bottle stack.
