Know any refrigeration repairmen in Illinois?

My Vendo 56 quit cooling after running for 10 years or so.  It still runs, it just doesn't cool.  I have a big canister of R-12, I just need someone to fix the leak and recharge the system.  I'd prefer to find someone relatively close so that I can drive to the shop instead of shipping.  I live near Springfield, Illinois.  I was given a name of an old 7up guy several years ago, but the number I was given is now out of date and I can't find his new number.

Yep, that can happen when you’ve died.    ( hopefully not)  :hopefull:

Pays to not procrastinate , Sorry I can’t help you as I’m in S.E. Michigan/Detroit-metro area.

I haven't check, but Fun-Tronics is in the state...

I didn’t know they did refrigeration repairs ( Funtronics)

You could check your local White-pages. for refrigeration repair as opposed to HVAC repairs, or an appliance repair shop. You assume it’s just a leak, but it could be a half-dozen different things that could cause it to stop cooling, most main stream shops won’t touch your machine because they don’t wish to be held liable.

I was able to track down the old 7up guy.  I found his address and went to his house.  He wasn't home, but his wife was and I gave her my card.  The guy did call me back, but said that he was working exclusively for a guy in Peoria and didn't want to take on any more work (he's in his late 60's).  He said that a couple of years ago he could help me.  A couple of years ago I didn't need him because my machine was working fine.

I did talk to Janet at Fun-Tronics and she gave me two names, but they are pretty far away.  One is in North Carolina and the other is in Maryland.
