Ok we're all busy hunting and with spring here and
summer coming on that means swap meets & auctions.
How about picking a date in August and everybody
posting their summer finds...
This could include all coin-op stuff or car/gas stuff,
projects completed (before & after images)
Since we all can't meet at once in person because of
our locations we'll just all meet here in August or Sept.
What do you all think... Or any other ideas (better or
to add) Just be cool to see more images of stuff throughout the good ol' USA!

And sorry.... That should be “Summer“ Finds not “Wsummer” finds...
Jim can you fix that?... Sorry for that... A proof read would have been nice.

Hi Eric

hope you haven't forgoten me in the UK. I might be able to turn up a chesterfield or two or even a Triumph sportscar. Doubt I'll find a Soda Machine in a Car boot sale though.

I think its a great idea. I love your stories of magic finds.

Ahh...  You never know what shows up at a car meet... There's one coming up here
in a few weeks. Last year there was a Cav 51 several Westinghouse chests, gas pumps
Stoner Candy machine, a dozen square tops, soda fountain stools and drive in speakers..... Can't wait!

If I can actually find a find (yes, a proud product of the American School Systems) this summer, I will participate.

hey,
Great idea!!
I'll post my finds if there are any. If not I still have 3 more machines to work on,
so I can post my before and after pics if nothing else.

My V 63 is on hold this week my electrician has jury duty.

Hey Jim...
There seems to be some interest in this... is there a way we maybe could set up
a section in the photo gallery area for “Summer Finds 2005” That way we won't
bog down the discussion area. We could do this at the end of every summer...

I didn't know that posting finds hurt the discussion section. I really enjoy posting finds as I get them. I don't think I could wait all summer to show them off. Is there possibly a way we could have a new finds topic on the discussion forum? That way it wouldn't take away from questions or any other important posts in the other sections? Just a thought. If posting pictures of new finds is bothersome to the site please say so and I will stop.

No!!!!  I didn't mean stop posting I just hate to see a bunch
of pictures of everybodies cool stuff get lost in all the
questions and answers then drop out.

I think I mentioned this at one time but there's a sight for collecting vintage neckties (and yes I collect those too.... just ask my wife I collect everything  '<img'>  )
Anyway they have a section called finds of the month
where everybody posted what had been found for that month. Amazing what is still out there.

Anyway I think it would be great to have a section for finds of the month or do this Summer Find 2005 thing...
I am floored to see what has been found.... I hunt all the time.
And seeing Josh's Embossed square top 7up, RacerX45's walk in find Tombstone or the sound of this embossed brick sign Dr Pepper Sodaworks has found
These are items we should keep in an area that won't drop out.
We all love the images.... Just need a place where we could keep them.

Again we need the images in the discussion area to explain
or to help get answers to problems.
Or just to say:
“Hey... Look what I saw... What do you guys think...etc.”

Believe me if I get that Roundtop Vendo 56 from across the street from the in-laws You're gonna see images!!!!

OK then we should ask Jim if it is possible to add another section for new finds. Jim could that be possible? Please!!!! I really like that idea because it is hard to find these topics as it is in the sea of questions from other topics.
