I use a grinder with a wire brush attachment to remove rust and corrosion from many of the projects we all do. It really cant be beat for removing paint, rust, corrosion in a quick manner. Unfortunately the tool has caught my clothing several times wrapping its self to my body, has removed portions of my skin on my hands, caught a wire and flew out of my hands down the driveway in a crazy free spin until I was able to pull the plug..

To protect myself from the flying strains of metal that become detached I wear glasses and overalls and will not use it without heavy gloves ( I have the scars from past times with out them). I'm surprised I haven't been more hurt using this thing, but like I said it does the job...

I just think when it tries to fly out of my hands that its trying to get me.. oh

I think i'd be looking to see if there is anything else available to do the job more safely. Be careful my man. You only have one pair of hands, eyes, ears etc...

I have decided that my body is not worth risking for restoration projects. I send all parts to local sandblaster for cleaning and priming. Worth every penny.

I had a leaf blower like that once. No matter what I did and despite the safe guards in place it would suck my shirt in and then burn me on the exhaust.

I blame faulty design and not Skynet.

Be safe
