Went to the Cedartown GA Coke museum today and they had some pretty neat machines . I had seen these last year at the collectors shop where they were stored but they are not displaying the Rome box I had hoped to see again to photo . They had one of the oldest to exist from 1912 . Then a great icy O model 120 , a great drum cooler .

The Rome Coca Cola company was started in 1901 and they opened the Cedartown bottling company and Carrollton , Cartersville ,dalton , fort valley and Valdosta GA at some point or acquired them .The sad part is I started plumbing in 1978 and we worked at all of them and Rome GA was the largest but torn down in late 1980s when the Barron family sold all its locations after owning for 86 years  to the Atlanta Coca Cola franchise . The building in Cedartown is a small one that use to have two large limestone Coke bottles in front of the building but not sure where they went below is what the entrance still looks like . I am thankful to the 19 year old that bought the building and opened the museum too much of our history leaves us every day . Sorry to bore with all this but thought it was interesting .

Wow, what a great story and what an old soul there must be in that 19 year.   Just incredible.
