This one is not far away. How hard is the the door to find? I'll snag it if anybody needs parts. Unless it goes nuts :-)

Anyone know if the drum out of it will fit in a 27A, I know the 27s had the refrigeration in the middle of the drum.
I could sure use the drum and the top section off of the door. If I can find out about the drum...I am interested in parts. jeff

I believe Carlos Coates from Ohio reproduced those 33 drums but have not seen him advertise them in the last few years. Nor have I seen any aluminum repops on eBay either...

What needs to be done here folks? It's at $80. I really don't have $100 laying around for a machine that can't really tell if the parts are usable.
On the flip side if it vends/cycles the drum and compressor fires up can't justify parting it out just because the door has gone to join various shelves and V-44 coin doors in the land of Missing.
What does the book say for fair value? If somebody wants to grab it I'll put it on Forward air (or whatever) from San Jose for cost. I may still bid, my ebay id is cjsmith2 so lets not spend more than necessary. Thoughts and action items welcome. Creighton

Dave, I don't think it is available anymore. I too found out about it after it was done. I even search eBay for issues of it and have never seen any. '>

I gave it my best shot...I figured that I could sell the VMC 33 drum and coin mech and put that extra money iback in the ol' soda fund but I was only going to go up to 200.00...Steve's comment held me back too...do I really need another machine, especially another parts machine? I need some self-control!
Well, Ol' Carlos Coates won this auction as well. Anyway, interesting story behind Club Soda and its owner, probably for another thread...I used to subscriber, it was kind of a cool magazine with only about 20 pages. There was an issue around 2000 regarding a book they were putting out. I left the country around that time but thank goodness I didn't send a pre-payment for their Soda Machine Book...it was never available from what I heard.
Remember that alien baby that came out of that dude's belly in Schwarzeneggar's Total Recall? That's the name of the guy who ran Club Soda. WHat every happened to him?

As far as I remember nothing happened to him... Just got in over his head in that book deal. I have a friend who pre-paid and lost the $45 or what ever it was for the book. It was a shame it... He just shut it down with no warning. It was a great mag lots of great info on machines and companies... Great stories.... When it first came out they did a member of the month, a show and tell type thing.... pretty cool. Also had want ads and for sale ads. But I like this site much better.... It's great reading the stories and finds each day and seeing how you guys help each other and will literally be willing to drive here or there for each other...... There was a group called the “Magnificent Seven”, a group of seven guys who had great collections and well known in the magazine.... They were great guys and had great road trip stories and worked hard wheeling and dealing in the Hobby to build these collections. I wish if they visit this site if they'd post some images of their collection and some “Find” stories for you new guys..... But I also must say there are more than just seven guys here that are Magnificent in helping out the new guys in this field of collecting. I hit this site several times a day to see what you guys find and know. Thanks for all the stories and helpful bits of info......

Club Soda's editor was Dan Kwate. I heard he was in Seattle with 40k of "our" book money. I was really shocked that he would do such a thing because he really seemed like a nice guy. Terry

Jay B. still collects... talked with him a few weeks back... I was looking for some parts. Now he had a collection! Another M7... Bob King the mag did a feature on him I remember another nice collection. Don't know of any of them stop in here. Would love to see what they have now.
I have all my copies of the mag Including that one with your daughter Bireleys1 They had a lot of great info... But stick around here.... This place is better.... News stories/finds everyday and you don't have to wait a month for the next issue.

As for M7 members stopping by here I only know one of them Jay and have asked if he stops by he said he dose but not very often. I asked him about other M7 members and he is still in touch with a few of them but doesn’t think they stop by here. As for Jay’s collection he still has a very nice Soda Machine collection and his fountain dispenser collection makes mine look small.
