Picked up this 3 slot chrome Cigaromat today along with a few other machines (81B and a few small coin op vending machines).
The chrome is original with lock/key, but the window with the white owl cat has been replaced, and the base has been poorly repainted in the past. You don't see the chrome ones very often and I'm told it vends properly. Pretty excited!!!
I'm going to have my Painter Dean repaint it. Was it maroon originally? (that color is on the inside).

They had different colors. I have seen them in green mainly. Mines maroon, but was repainted when I bought it.

It's nice that you have the stand. Generally they were wall mounted. I was very excited when I found mine with the stand. The beveled plastic is hard to find. Nice nameplate. Those are usually worn too.

Jim B will be making me and Leonard the missing humidor and coin box for the inside of our our Cigaromats. Leonard and I have the only known 3 pull chrome top models out there that we know of. Let us know if you have a Cigaromat and share your story! I purchased mine in a rural mid-Michigan city from an older gentleman. It was chromed, but was beginning to flake in a couple spots. I also had the trim pieces rechromed at middle and on base during the restoration.

Great looking restoration! You answered my question, as to what keeps the cigars fresh--the humidor. I was thinking you wouldn't want one out of a vending machine.  Post some photos of the humidor when you get it. |

Looks great !!
Mine is about 75% done . Insides completed other then coin mech and the base witch I got from Jim (Thanks Again !!! Mine was only the main machine no base got it from a guy in PawPaw mi. He found it in a garage of the house he bought .
