Found a nice original Vendo 81D that needs restored and looks to be 100% complete and working. I've been out of the machine market for sometime, what's the going rate for one of them these days?

If it's complete and fully operational $2200-$2500.
In this case pictures are helpful!!!

How about complete and non-working?

There are many variables i'd say a hot buy as found is around 2k.

Well I decided to get it and I may just get one more, $1,625 seemed fair to me. One or two members might recognize this machine....

Fair price especially if you are going to restore it. There will be a lot of little incidentals a long the way that can add up.

Depends on your budget. Those are very reasonable prices. Keep in mind to do a proper restoration your investing about 3 times the purchase price..

Very fair price. It depends what your plans are on the second one. If you want to tuck it away as an investment, yes. If you plan on restoring it down the road, yes. If you plan on flipping it, yes, although the margin won't be much. Whenever someone wants to buy a 81 I always say yes, unless it is overpriced.

Thanks for the all help! I decided to get the other one, you just don't find these for sale in my area. They both cool and one is fully functional now after I worked with the coin mech, need to rewire them next.

How can you tell? Looks like an "Insert 2 nickels or one dime" decal to me.

I'm looking at the sold out flag with the coin door open ...maybe I'm wrong...

It is not a change giver. I have a Vendo 56 that is similar in that it has the flag, but does not make change. If it were a change giver it would have a lot more parts below the crank handle including a tube for dispensing nickels.

I understand that I have many . I made a quick assumption looking at the sold out flag with the coin door partially open...
