Are you missing the entire cooling system or is your compressor non-functional? Could you have existing system repaired?

Compressor is shorted out. I know compressors are available but there is no one in my area that would install it and charge the system. It's a completely restored machine so I thought it would be worth the cost to purchase a complete new unit.

With all due respect, if it's a completely restored machine, the evaporator, etc should be in good shape. There must be an air conditioning or appliance person nearby that can swap the compressor. You'll probably need the same person to install and charge the new system anyway.

Yes,
Dave makes awesome compressors for when you're in need of a machine-specific new compressor set up that will work with your machine. He's also making a drop-in V44 compressor now too. Good stuff.

It may help to state what general "area" you're located near, " local" is a subjective term. |

Specifically "Dave" is the first name of the guy building these compressor units and selling them for use, in this case, the Vendo 39 you need a compressor for. I have and own several of his compressors and use them in my restored machines. Make sense? |
