I have this Hot Nut Machine and need a lock and key for it. I have seen this go by 2 different names online, Regal and Silver King. Which is correct? The lamp and heater both work perfectly.

Great machine! I always thought they were Silver King. Believe Birdman has one.

I picked one of those up last year new in box, wrapped in news print from 1955. It was labeled Silver King. The guy I got it from found 8 of these in a basement all new in boxes, never opened. He also found 6-8 duck hunt penny gum machines some new in box and some assembled with the gumballs, but never put into use: also made by Silver King!

"Found in basement." I love those stories.

Your machine is a Regal Hot Nut not a Silver King. Regal made a plastic red top, Silver King was glass. You can tell a Regal from a Silver King by the chute flap. Nice machine!

Good info on the chute, after looking closer at mine I see the king chute is also more egg shaped and the regal is rectangular.
FYI on a side note, my warmer was boxed without any top, the glass tops were shipped in a different box all together; I'm guessing these were  accessories like the Dixie cup holder that were also available.

Ya, I like the Dixie cup holders on these. I wonder how much metal people ingested back in those days from the pot metal internals on these. Not the best material for food handling, but back in those days they didn't know what we know today.
I like the blinking light idea on this. It surely attracted people to the machine for a purchase. I checked the warmer with a digital temp gun. My gun is used for refrigeration, but has a high temp reading at 80 degrees. The warmer hit that easily within moments.

That one I believe is from the 1930's. I've seen the hob nail top versions described as being from the period.

Question for the nut machine guys. How original is the nut machine in this link?
When they're too crisp, I always question.

It is all correct. Just super polished and buffed up with it under the lights to give it the dolled up look

I had a bid on it but deleted it at the last minute. Would've been higher than what it sold for. I have too many irons in the fire right now anyway.
