Over the last few days I've really wanted to get my Tom's Cracker Machine to vend.  I had a couple over the years and really never messed with them all that much.

What I have discovered already is that finding product that will actually work has been a bit challenging.  I really would like to get creative here try to put this machine to good practical use like a stoner machine or something.  I took a quick video for another member to look at it...

Is there any resident experts out there?  Anybody have any archive pictures of old product packaging?  Found any modern product that will work great?

It looks like the packet is too thick to be able to then slide back and down the hole or perhaps the moving block is catching on the sealed flaps of the package.
Because of the way that are automatically manufactured products today have those flaps at the ends which they originally wouldn't have.

If you fold the flaps over and sellotape them and try again it will at least rule out that problem. It happens to me all the time with my smaller vendors..

You can adjust the thickness block but is there a way to adjust the width of the push arm? Dave is right, the packaging used to be a lot tighter ( at least on those crackers) than today. Do the other columns do that or just this horizontal column?

Jared the center column I believe was for the packs of peanuts not crackers the other columns were for what we call a square pack they were stacked end to end in a four pack. I will post pictures of crackers. I have 3 different versions of this machine and I am also a collector of toms and lance stuff  jars, machines, racks, etc.
