Hello everyone. This is my first post so please be patient if I sound too much like an amateur. I recently purchased a Pepsi 81 and the door sags approximately 1/4 inch. Does anyone have any suggestions on how to fix it? The hinges appear to be fine and the body seems straight. I appreciate any help you could provide.
Thanks,
Jerry

Nice original machine, most 81's have that much sag. Latch receiver is adjustable somewhat......welcome to the site!

Thanks for the reply. I have two other 81's but they don't have this much sag. Maybe it is a bit greater of a sag than I thought. Here is another picture.

Perhaps an underwire support would help.

Too funny. I knew she was older than what she said.

Jerry, peel back the rubber seal around perimeter of the main door and assess the plastic door skin. Often it is broken at the points where the screws are located and doesn't provide the needed support to maintain proper shape. Note cavalier 72 used galvanized steel. My 2 cents. Very nice machine!

Pretty typical on the 81's .. most likely due to a shot inner door liner.. and also could have been dropped hard at some point.
if restoring, pretty easy fix...

i appreciate everyone's advice. I was able to fix the door by strapping down the body and slowly jacking up door. Came out great.
