We'll here is this rare machine at least I hope so I was told to buy it if I could so I just bought it today. I may be interested in selling it. I just don't know what it is really worth. I have read some interesting threads here. I would like to know what you all here think. I am thinking of trading this for something I want more than this so if you think you have a interesting trade please PM me with phone number and we can talk. As several of you know on here I don't play games some people play and Im very honest. I love this hobby and this is what it's about the thrill of the hunt and finding stuff you want and letting go  of the things for something you really really want?Huh?  There are some real nice people here that have helped me a lot.

Thanks Don

It's a VERY rare machine. With no sales history at all it would be worth whatever someone is willing to pay. A collector or 7up collector will be your target. I know if it were mine I would want at least 6K.

I was in on the bidding right up to the end

The auction goes so fast... I didn't have time to even think after I made my last bet lol.... I lost out on it for a few hundred.
I should have done the phone bidding thing.... instead I was online... lesson learned.

Nice pick up!

Ed

I heard from the audio there were 3 phone bidders..... Once I head that, I knew there was going to be fast and furious action on it.

The problem I had (lesson learned) was that when it reached a certain price level, the bid increase for me online was 400, as that is what he auctioneer was calling out, and that's what was listed... there was no option for me to bid it up 100 at a time... again, lesson learned,... should have done the phone bidding was well.

Glad someone here got it!

Yes I did internet bidding one time and yes it does jump quicker than phone, bidding or on site bidding as I was going $100 at a time I slowed him down at the end hard to here on phone.

The vmc 7up 88 is a nice size, is scare in existence,  and has an appealing appearance.  However,  it is solely my belief it cannot yield more than its much more appealing popular brother machine  , the vmc 81.  I know coca cola 88's are tough to come by too. Bottom line, a rarity like your machine has limited appeal, rarity alone doesn't equate to exceptional value, but a 7up machine collector out there has been hunting for a vmc 7up 88 for a long time and may be willing to put up some good money! Nice acquisition!  Like the machine  biggrin

I had a pepsi 88 sitting next to a Vendo 80 for a while, a great time for design comparison.
The V-80 has the very rounded top with a rather square looking coin door, the 88 is opposite (plus a crank handle) and I think it looks so much better!

Would love to see the Coke, Pepsi and 7up, all lined up together.  happydrinkers
