I just got an Ideal 55 myself this past weekend. It also is missing the rack and coin mech. I had planned to buy a new rack...I thought that would include everything needed (minus of course the coin mech).
So, does that mean I will also need the bottle release mechanism that you mention? This is my first slider so I do not know anything about these.
Thanks for any advice or input from other folks on the board!

Yeah ... Can someone take images of the inside of theirs to show Jeff?
(I don't have a slider anymore)... There's a bottle release mechanism to the left side of the rack... Watch eBay as I've seen them there before.... You'll come across one. CHeck
with SodaJerk Works and Vintage Vending under part suppliers too.

Here is a pic from an old Glasco I used to have. They are the same as the Ideal 55.

OK, Thanks for the help. I found another older thread that was discsussing powder coating and it mentioned the bottle release specfically.
I will add one more item to my want list.
Thanks again,
jeff

I have a spare slider rack that has already been powdercoated, with the flapper that I can sell. Several members have been e-mailing me but my reply to them has been returned..... Jim am I doing something wrong?
