The VMC 81 Bezel seems to be a very hot item. This is not my machine but the machine appears to be embossed which will make it a Vendo but bezel seems to be a VMC. Perhaps if someone offers him a plated Vendo bezel as a trade for his it would make his machine correct. Maybe a long shot, maybe not. I knew Steven years ago and he was a nice guy so who knows.

Might be worth his asking price just for the bezel alone LOL

I call to him at his antique store before christmas and tell that i want to buy the vmc bezel if he find a vendo bezel to replace.
But i don't think he really understand what i want. I'm not so familiar in english language but i try to explain the difference between a vendo and a vmc bezel and why i want to buy just his bezel for my pepsi machine.

He seems to be a little bit annoyed and wonder why i cant order my own vendo bezel from Fun-T. It ended up that he said thank you for calling and hung up his phone. (klick) down
I also send him an e-mail and try to explain exactly what i'm asking for.

However i wish someone from here can make a deal with him.

What is a fair offer on a vmc bezel ?

I remember that store back in 2001 on California. they had a back room with antiques. They had a few cokes that were high priced back then. The Train Museum in  Sacramento was impressive.

If you can find an unrestored vmc bezel, be prepared to pay $300+

I paid $500 for a perfect restored one from Joey and was grateful to get it for my Pepsi 81.

Sounds like a very good price in my opinion.
