Found this a few days ago.   It's made by TempRite Mfg Co  Arkansas City, Kansas.

Has anyone seen a stainless DR Pepper cooler like this?

The script has traces of red paint.  Wondering if the tray is original to the cooler?

I know some where made for Coke that where stainless with red lettering.. so wouldn't be surprised if it's original?

sure wish that embossing would turn up bigger,, would look killer on a VMC 81

Couldn't it just be a regular cooler that was sand blasted?

Sand blasting would not leave that nice shiny finish,, it would be etched..and would look completely different .  plus the red on the logo would be gone.

At first I wondered if it had been stripped of its paint.   However, there's not a spec of paint (minus the dr pepper script) nor is there galvanized metal anywhere on the cooler (as is the case with most painted coolers).    It appears to be stainless inside and out including the tray and lid.

I did buy it.    I'm not a big picnic cooler collector but couldn't pass it up.

cool cooler!

Never seen one like it.

Just a thought, the paint could have been stripped and the bare metal clear coated? hard to tell from the pics.... is it stainless?
Anyhow, It is defiantly a conversation piece and cool!

Thanks!  Like the coca-cola version, the entire cooler is stainless (minus the handle).

If that is stainless and is old then that's a pretty neat piece.
