Vendo 44 operating handle

Hello!
Can anyone tell me how to get the operating handle to the correct position to open the access door open on my Vendo 44?  Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Push the handle counter-clockwise...it may feel like your going to bust the whole thing off but at a certain point, it will free up and you can pull the coin door out without it hitting the handle.....
