I am just curious on what the max is some of you guys would pay for this 56. Its complete though not all the pieces are in the pics.
Next I want to say thanks to Mygoose and Moondawg from keeping me from paying to much. And I decided to pass on it entirely but want to share the machine and pics here with you guys.

If its going to take it apart anyway, and your ready for a project, its not a huge deal. Do a REALLY good inventory and assume the compressor is shot.
If every part is confirmed to be there, I would think it could be bought for $800 since its a limited market like this. Seller probably wanted $1400? Please don't say $2000!
Just as parts- Coin mech- $3-400 and Lg Coin Door $250-300, shelves $150, Stack $200, Bezel $100.....
Personally, I think it was a little too nice to restore but that is hindsight at this point.

Has electric bottle stack.
A red flag went off with me when I saw the electric cord coming out the front door. Original, being mechanical, shouldn't have that...to the best of my knowledge.

Stack can be converted back to manual, but the coin mech. will be a different story.

He wants $1800.
Then yes, they saved you. You can find one in working order in that range if you want to wait it out. With the wrong stack, there might be other things wrong. I never answered your original question. I think the max for that would be $1200 if it were really close to me but I'm a glutton for punishment.

Some 81's had wires to heaters on the coin mechs, might be the same on a 56? Not sure. Bigger thing, does it have a mechanical coin mech. That's $3-400 if its missing.

You can manually push the solenoid to see if the stack works.
If the lift gates move after pushing the solenoid in at the bottom of the stack you know you have a working bottle stack. Than you can just take the solenoid off and bolt on a vending cam. Can be done in about 15 mins.
As far at the coin mechanism missing that would be your biggest cost unless you can find a Vendo 110 for cheap or wait for 81 Transitional Machine. Worst case scenario you could by a reproduction one from FunT.
I think realistically it's a $900-$1200 machine it's definitely a project. The seller would be smart to re assembly it and make it look less like a project.
My .02 Cents,
Jared
