I know this isn't a gas pump site, but I ran across this and don't know if it's anything special. I don't want the repro globe on it, but if the pump is something, I'll go back! Lol! Worth anything?

Nice pump with or without the globe. What is the seller asking on it? What's the pump in front of it?

Its a very cool pump... with the stepped top on it, it really makes it look cool

Not sure the exact make of it ..

the repo globe is still worth 100 on its own, so take it if you can.

I'd pay around 400 for a pump like that if it came up around me.

would be very cool to restore...

I agree it does have a nice look. I haven't a clue about pumps though, so I'm no help.

It appears to be a national #10. Be careful when buying a more obscure pump, missing parts will be hard to find and it appears the faces are missing.  Can't tell what else is not there but I think tracking down correct faces might be a problem.

I would say without knowing what else is not there $300-400 would be a fair deal.....

I love that the globe is on sideways

He is at $700 and holding so its a pass for now. Good point on the faces, I thought I would be able to find them repop, but maybe not.

If you look closely, there are 3 corner pieces missing, but one is there. It could be used as a pattern, but even though the seller said "$50 and you could have them bent up" I find I don't get anything done at the price the seller says!! LOL I was thinking it would be closer to $50 each.

I also got some info from the help of Shane's contact Mr. Sim. Apparently, if he can't identify it, I'm not going to find it easily. Thanks for all of the help.

"Not a pump I have info on.  This pump was made for the Gulf Oil Co.
somewhere around 1940, the previous one was a Model 10.  That is all I know,
but with your permission I would like to use the picture in the 3rd edition
of my book that I am writing now."

If you could get it down to around $500 it might still be a fair deal its a very cool pump.  If the face on the other side is there you really only need one side for now and you will eventually find a second face.

Pumps are different than soda machines in that when restoring them you put all the best parts on one side and display that side and then the back side gets the leftovers....unless you're not planning on putting it against a wall.

If you're not a member on oldgas I would suggest joining, they are so much more knowledgeable on pumps than I am and I listed a part I thought I would need for a rare pump yesterday and within minutes I had a lead.
