Well after searching for a Jacobs for a while, a friend of mine finally located one for me.  I wanted an all original one to add to the collection so here it is and I could not have been more thrilled with it!  Thank you to everyone on this site that has helped me in this search!  I will post more pics once I wash and polish it this weekend.

Here are the after pics.  I spent several hours this afternoon washing, then waxing, followed by using Flitz (which really brings out the shine).  I will take more pics in the sunshine this weekend.  You can really tell how many of the marks and blemishes came out of the bottom right of the machine after some good old elbow grease!

Can anyone tell me what type of bulb I can put for the lights inside the Jacob that would not burn or damage the plastic and where I could buy them??

From what I remember a 7w is the highest u could use... just make sure too that it's free and clear from the lens.

maybe someone else with more knowledge can chime in with regards to the 7.

Here is a picture of the light socket.  Does anyone know what type bulb goes in this and can I get it at Lowes or Home Depot?

The shine on that looks great.. would love to hear more about your cleaning process..

the Bulb is a Bayonet style bulb.. it will have smooth sides with two little "Bumps" on each side that slide in and you rotate it to lock in... not sure if you can find it a Home Depot or Lowes ? but maybe RadioShack?  but go with low voltage for sure..

That looks like a automotive bulb would work?

Auto bulb would burn out, it's 12 volts.   Looks like it would be easier to swap out the socket with the screw-in type.

I think that bulb/socket issue is going to be too much trouble.

You should just sell it to me and let me deal with it!  LOL  laugh

Congrats on the awesome machine.  Looks great!

I'd go with something like this:
http://www.1000bulbs.com/product/100104/LED-2WT8DCB.html?utm_source=SmartFeedGoogleBase&utm_medium=Shopping&utm_term=LED-2WT8DCB&utm_content=LED+DC+Bayonet+Base+Bulbs&utm_campaign=SmartFeedGoogleBaseShopping&gclid=CIKnvrGO670CFYqIfgod0hYAIw

Locking pins look a bit low however. Minor issue.

Didn't know you needed 4. LED is the best for behind the plastic. No heat issues and will be brighter. Call them up or poke through the catalog. Should be able to find something.

There's a place called Light Bulb Depot up on South Blvd. in Charlotte, https://www.lightbulbdepot.com/ I have dealt with them before for some hard to find bulbs for my insulator lamps and they are very good.  They have a walk-up counter and will bring out different bulbs for you to try out.

The big thing with the new LED bulbs is to watch out for the lumen rating on them, the bulbs that Creighton linked to are only 12 Lumens, so they are going to be fairly dim.  A 15W candleabra base night-light bulb is around 20 lumens, which is still very dim.  That's why the ability to test them out is nice, get a good feel for what you need.

Thanks Tom, the light bulb depot did have the bulb!  Here is a pic of the machine in its final resting place and lit up!
