Came across this 42" dia. porcelain pepsi sign that hasn't been touched in years; it's actually pretty dirty but appears only to be dirt and grime and should clean up nicely... I'm looking for input on an offer that would be reasonable. I think he stated he would like to get $800. On the good side, its porcelain but does have a few little issues... Along the bottom edge it reads: PM-1 Made in USA RAC Thanks in advance for any & all input !

Jim , I would maybe start at $500 and say it is cash and see what he has to say if he says NO what did it hurt you can always come back and ask whats the best that he could do on it .
Like you said there are a few little spots on it that need touching up .

Jim, I would start at more around $200 and go from there. The condition of the sign is my point in starting that low and if he says no then what is his bottom line. If it's too high then I would pass and wait on one in better condition to pop up one day.

That one on liveauctioneers is only 14 inch vs. 48 inch. I would say $500 tops if I were buying it. Just depends on how bad you want it. Those dont come around in that size too often.

Thought size doesn't matter? My appologies, went by picture, not full description.

Worked out a fair price and cleaned it up a little... I like it as you do not see too many Pepsi porcelain signs!
Thanks for the input too ! ! !

Looks great cleaned up Jim! I don't know if you have ever tried but there is a product called The Works toilet bowl cleaner that will take a lot of stain, especially rust, out of porcelain signs and you could try some steel wool grade 0000. I have always had great results using both. Make sure you wear gloves when you use The Works or you might feel a little burn on your skin.
