Replaced changer still nothing!

I stumbled onto this site/group when I first started having problems with the old soad machine I bought. I replaced the changer (coinco S75) with a Mars 6200. I put the new changer in and it seems like the changer is working but the machine still won't dispense. The machine is a short, square corner, can dispenser. It says Vendorlator on it but I don't know the model number. My problems started when I noticed the "use exact change" light was out. The main flourescent light was still on and the compressor and fan are still running, but the machine won't dispense. None of the selection button lights are working either. I thought a new changer would fix all of this but I guess I was wrong. Is there something else, another circuit board that may be messed up? There is a schematic inside the door I can use. Could there be a blown fuse or relay? I appreciate any and all help or advice.

I'm new here, but just a guess...vend solenoid?  This doesn't explain why your selection lights aren't working, though.  It might help to provide more information on what kind of machine you have.  Info such as:

How many selections are there?
How many sodas does it hold?
Any numbers on the data plate?

I'm sure someone here can probably answer your question.

Did the machine function fine previously...?
What price does/did the machine vend with?
Are there nickels in the nickel tubes located toward the bottom of the coin mech?
Did the selection lights work before this problem began?

You might want to wire up a free vend switch to see if it will work that way. If it works you know it is the coin mech.

  Where in Florida are you?  Can you take a clear pic of the schematic and send it to me via e-mail?  Everything you're telling me sounds like a bad fuse or possibly an opened wire off the Jones receptacle (9 pin recetpacle where the coin mech plugs in).  If you can get me a copy of the schematic, I can start working up items to check.  If you're near Pensacola, I may be able to drop by in a month.  I'm currently stationed in Norfolk but will be heading back to Pensacola to move my family to a new duty station in March.

Okie - I'm still earning my stripes in this area as I work on my first machine (a vendorlator bottle machine)... so I'm not an expert but...

When you insert coins do you hear a mechanical "snap" or click?  If not you've probably got problems somewhere between the coin mech and the vend solenoid.  If you do hear the mechanical click it's probably a mechanical issue with the vending assembly.

Hmm, first you need to help us out here, what model/manufacter is this machine...a picture will help if you can't find an I.D. tag...

and if you can get a good shot of the schematic, I can probably help walk you through...so what do you got?  '>

WOW! Thanks for all the help and suggestions. Now I will try to provide more information along with some pics. This machine was working fine after I got it. It worked for about 4 or 5 weeks untill I noticed that the selection lights and exact change lights weren't lit. Then I realized that even though it was cooling it wouldn't dispense. I removed the coinco changer and it looked like it had been glued together before, was cracked and had burnt areas on the circuit board. I bought a used MARS 6200 off Ebay from a reputable seller and obviously that didn't fix the problem. One suggestion from the guy I got the changer from was to fill it with nickels and dimes first, would this make a difference? With the MARS, when I put in two quarters they drop right into the coin box, no relay or contact sounds present. If I drop another quarter, the changer begins to cycle as if trying to make change.

Okie - I have a MAR5800.  It has 3 switches, behind the accepter (bottom left of pic), that affect how the changer operates, described in this thread.  If the 6200 is similar you probably have the tube full selector switched to put coins in the box even without a full tube.  This would account for the first two quarters going directly into the box.

It sounds to me like you have it set somewhere between 50 and 75 cents.  On my 5800 the price switches are on the back of the changer behind the selector (top right of the pic).

What is your price set at?  Do you have any nickels or dimes in the inventory tubes?

I opened my 6200 changer and found coin selection switches. It was set at what appeared to be $.60. I set it for $.25 and now when I drop in a quarter it goes into the box and I hear a click sound. Maybe like a relay switching. Still no dispensing though. I did notice the "exact change light" flickering, but it shortly quit flickering, so maybe it's a loose wire or something. I'm thinking of getting some electrical contact cleaner and spraying the plug in connections as they look a little corroded and sticky. There are three other switches inside the changer that say escrow, $1, and I forgot what the other option was.
