Soda machines

i just bought two vending machines at yard sale the one i working on now is a1991 cavalier c5-200 soda machine it gets cold lights work, but all change drops straight thru, and dollar bills come back out, how can i fix this , and also is there a way to make machine free vend???

Are the lights indicating "use correct change" and are any of the button illuminating a "sold out" light...?
Have you filled the vending columns with enough soda to cause the "sold out" lights to go out...?
Do all coins drop through?
As far as the dollar bill changer, I'm not familiar with this type of equipment, sorry...

yes i have filled and all sold out lights are off, and i am not getting any sold out lights on. and also all change drops thru
