Were any machines made in the '50's or '60's with Squirt graphics?  I searched the archives here for any mention of one and came up empty.  I've seen picnic coolers but don't recall seeing any vending machines '<img'> .

Were any made?

Thanks,
Bob

There was a image of a quikold style standard machine in an ad
that was in the Club Soda magazine..... could not tell if it was embossed
or a decal. Had the splash logo on the front.

I can't tell if this one is embossed, or just redone as a Squirt.

Forgot about the Ideal models Yes the 55 and the
larger ONE (85?) sliders were embossed. I even had the larger model sold it on ebay a few years back... it was a monster!

Way to go halehouse!

Sorry about.... You should be able to find one of those reasonable.

Good Luck!

Correct, I've  got an Ideal 55/Squirt & it is indead Embossed!, as far as I know , I've only seen "sliders" embossed in Squirt. with other generic 50's & 60's machines having decals & screened on graphic's . and of course, Picnic Coolers (I have two , a progess A1, tall & a progess A1 two tone, with the lid the samecolor "squirt" red as the the embossing.)

Well, I guess this answers my question...

http://cgi.ebay.com/ws....27&rd=1

I don't like the screw-on Squirt sign, no side graphics, etc.

I checked the Ideal section of this site and a 72 is not listed.  Maybe it's a fairly uncommon machine.

Yeah... you're looking for something I don't think exist.
I did find that image in Club Soda of the Quikold standard
but the image is so poor I can't make out if it is a decal
or embossed splash logo. If you really
wanted one
you'd have to buy a Ideal 55 slider and weld its embossing into
a machine of your choice.

Here's one!! ':p'

I wonder if it came from the factory this way.  The seller says he can see some white paint under the yellow, and no side graphics.

Hmmmmm... ':<img:'>

Yes, that would help I suppose.  Sorry (it was late).

http://cgi.ebay.com/ws....IT&rd=1

I'd like to know what you folks think of this one.  I've kept my eyes open for an original Squirt 1960's style machine, so this one got my attention when I first saw it.  I guess it must be a conversion from another (7UP?) theme, though, with white paint being under the yellow.

Any thoughts?

I can't remember the link but there is a Vendolator square corner 110 that is done up as Squirt on Ebay right now.  Pretty good looking machine.  Too far away for me though.

Hey Bob - I have spoken to the seller (also named Bob).  He's located in northern AZ so I've been watching it also.  He says that he bought it from someone else and doesn't know too much about it.  Looks very clean and operational.

I found this old topic...the picture of the Squirt 81 on page one is almost exactly what I was looking for...has anyone done one like this or is it just photoshopped or drawn up?

This was a "fantasy" machine with an embossed Ideal 55A lettering stitched onto a generic V81, Squirt only embossed sliders & picnic coolers & some (few) chest coolers, although I recall a transitional square-cornered machine that floated through the discussion areas in the past as well, however as I recall it had a 3-D plastic sign for a marquee. It still looked nice though.

I got my yellow VMC 81 back from the painter today...they did a nice job. I also had them put in a bed liner going about 2 ft. up on the inside (pictures to come)... I had "magnetic" decals made so I could switch from a Squirt machine to an RC 81. Eventually I will probably have a vinyl decal made up, but it gives me options for now.

Looks great ! ! !
Excellent idea on the decals!

I need to find a reasonably priced generic 81 in decent condition so i can make a Grapette machine... I have an original porcelain door sign and two different sets of original decals for the upper sides of the machine...

Whow! Looks great! Yes the bedliner idea works really well,I've used it on some of my machines in the past and it will really save a lot of machines for the future from rusting, if they'd only spent the time when they built the originals, but these were build like the cars of the times, disposable.  excellent idea on the decals!  drinking

Smart idea with the decals!  I looked at the photos before I read, and I got a little worked up that the Royal Crown logo was slightly crooked...good thing I took the time to read!

Really like that Squirt logo.  I remember going over to my grandparents house as a kid and they always had squirt in their basement fridge.  Been a Squirt fan ever since!!

I guess this machine will look really great when it's finnished because it look great already.
And for more magnetic options you can have a Lemonette sign or a green lemon crush sign. biggrin
I think we all look forward for more pictures on your Squirt/RC machine hopefull
