Just picked up this Barq's 55 north of Pittsburg today. I want to give a big thanks to Maine T for the lead on it. He sends quite a few and I finally was able to make a deal on one. Thanks again  happydrinkers

A few have popped up over the last few months.  You would think it's a common box to find!

Incredibly hard to come across...it's a keeper and will showcase your collection for many years to come.

Congrats... Ken.

Very nice pick up / find!

MaineT has given MANY heads up on machines etc..... Many of us (me included I think) have thanks to give him  happydrinkers
I wish  I had the time to search like I used to..... I had 2 kids now in T-balll 4 nights a week this summer, (I was the coach for one team) and now 2 kids in full hockey 2 times a week (I'm the coach of one of the teams.)

Now I rely on the board and quick searches on Greedbay.....
Again,.... nice pick up!

Glad I could help!!  drinking That thing is killer and what a deal after sitting there that long! Maybe someday I'll find one near me!

It's harder to post since 99% of my searching is done through the app on my phone. It's easier to email and text! Lots still out there like dirt cheap Vendo 56's in Detroit and Barq's sliders slipping through the cracks in Pittsburg!! The more I figure out the iPhone app, the easier it is to spread out the search.

Gotta thank Tim as well - he's sent me a few leads on that elusive Coke wire rack that I've been trying to score for about a year now.   Still haven't scored one, but nice that someone is out there searching for me.

I tried for that one in Kansas about a week ago, it got all screwed up.  Oo He relisted it and I tried again. Guess we can stop waiting for a reply email.

It's near my buddy, and would have given me a full load to go get my Pepsi out there... Looks like I'm waiting even longer.

Does anyone know if the embossed words above and below Barq's originally were red or white?

I know Tom Barnes has a very nice original.  I think personally the embossed lettering was ALL white.

You could start a Barq's collection. Real rough looking but why not. LOL
