A couple on here that I've not heard of, but I've tried the majority of them.

I am really interested in trying Blenheim, so if anyone in an area that sells it is headed to PA/MD area please keep me in mind!

Here in Michigan, Vernors is a big seller and an old time favorite. It does not taste like the other ginger ales that are marketed by Schweppes or Canada Dry. Mix it with vanilla ice cream and you have a Boston Cooler.

MaineT- You drank the whole thing or took a sip?   biggrin I couldn't get past a couple sips when I tried it years ago. It must be an acquired taste.

I have purchased Blenheim here in Northern VA. We didn't drink it all. Didn't drink much at all. It was spicy hot. Kind of...peppery?

That's what I'm interested in!  I had some Jamaican Ginger Beer once and it was really spicy.  Real ginger has quite a nice bite to it.

Yup, it was even a 1 liter! Cant say when I started liking it, but my dad drank it as a kid and nobody would touch his soda except me. I pick one up occasionally with my lunch. I used to drink it daily, but backed off.  It's in every store around here.

It's in MA too, right?

I don't know if it's a regional drink in the strictest sense of the word, but I remember NuGrape being a decent grape drink round here. It's said to be not so common anymore. The last NuGrape I saw for sale was glass bottles at Cracker Barrel.

1 liter. Wow you really do like it. My grandfather used to love it. I tried it a couple times a long time ago. I think I'm going to give it another try and see if my taste buds have changed. It is around here but only in certain places.

Jim, I'll keep an eye out for some Blenheim for you, too bad I was just in SC last week near where it is bottled.  I still find it at most stores in the area.  I bought the 'red top' or hot one last year when I was driving back up from Charleston, that is some hot stuff.  I figured it would be just a little hot, and I like hot sauce, but something about it...I may still have a bottle sitting in a cabinet somewhere.
